S Squared Art Productions, located on the Mendocino Coast, is a creative collaboration of husband and wife, Stephen and Sharon Garner who began their partnership in 1998, bringing their unique histories & individual talents. The Garners offer fine art, complete graphic design, edible art and music.

Sharon is the former owner and creator of the nationally acclaimed Grainful Bread Bakery, which served the Bay Area for more than 15 years in San Rafael, CA. Her bakery won the coveted "Best in Marin" award from the Pacific Sun readers for the many years she was in business and was known for it's fine handmade, individually crafted cakes, pastries, cookies and breads. This tradition is continued today by she and husband Stephen with their Edible Art. Sharon has been working on a cookbook to celebrate her love of baking and is hoping to complete it in the not too distant future!
Sharon's immersion into the fine art arena began in 2000, when she went back to school to study graphic design. Inspired by her teacher, mentor and friend, (nationally acclaimed calligrapher & designer Judy Detrick), she began to explore the beauty of her natural surroundings and became passionate about wildflowers. Sharon now shows regularly at the Elk Studio Gallery as well as other local venues.
Music has been an important component of Sharon's life. As a lead vocalist, Sharon has sung in many blues/rock bands in Northern California, including Crosscurrents and Dyzfunkshun. Currently she sings jazz with The Billy Schieve Trio and Richard Cooper as well as contemporary songs with Mitchell Holman, formerly of It's a Beautiful Day.

Stephen is best known for his inspired watercolors. An art major in high school, he was accepted into the Philadelphia College of the Arts in 1970, but chose not to go. Instead, he pursued an individual path, doing photography and painting with acrylics & oils. In 1980, he took a one week workshop, "Watercolor on Location", with Bill Zacha, which greatly inspired him. It was during this workshop that his love for watercolor blossomed and a friendship between the two artists began. This friendship continued until the end of Zacha's life. Stephen has continued to pursue watercolor consistently & prolifically and has amassed a large body of inspired works. He was accepted as a signature member into the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society when he entered a beautiful painting of the Old Elk Post Office in downtown Elk. Stephen's Fine Art can be seen regularly at the Elk Studio Gallery.
Stephen is also a prolific writer & poet. His writing has developed along with his art and is inspired by the world around him. He is currently working, with his wife Sharon, on self-publishing several books.
Every Monday evening from 10pm until midnight Steve rocks the radio waves with his eclectic blend of music, poetry and political commentary during Dreamtime on KZYX/Z, Mendocino County's Public Radio station.
